Job Title: Expeditor

Reports to: General Manager, Dining Room Manager
General Description: The To Go Expediter is responsible for coordinating our take out and food delivery business while consistently following the Kissaki standards.  The expediter is expected to serve each to-go guest courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude.
Type of position:   Full- Hours: 30-40 / week       Exempt      Nonexempt
Responsibilities include taking accurate orders by telephone or in person, assembling prepared food, drink and condiments into containers to ensure that food transport is completed in a clean and safe way for our guests. Organizing food orders, and handling them accurately to guests or delivery drivers during pick up.
Essential Functions:

  • Attend daily pre shift meetings and take notes of daily specials and out of stock items
  • Explains menu items and offers appropriate suggestions to our guests.
  • Performs guest services by taking orders, serving food and beverages to the guests promptly and following the standards set by our restaurant.  
  • Use the POS (Point of Sale) system, handheld devices and 3rd party delivery platforms effectively and accurately.
  • Must maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work station.
  • Able to accurately assemble food orders by gathering items from the kitchen or Sushi Chef counter. Validate the items and place them in the proper bag to be handled to the appropriate guest/driver
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with guests, handle crowds and put guests at ease.
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with co-workers during periods of high stress effectively while performing a variety of tasks.
  • Must maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of time, and have ability to accurately handle money, make change and process credit card  transactions. 
  • Able to adhere to schedule and be on time for shifts, training and required meetings.
  • Operate and participate effectively in a team environment.


  • The ability to proficiently speak, understand, read and write in English

  • The ability to adhere to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
  • The ability to adhere to all HR policies and guidelines
